And to the mothers, it is natural to be fearful of a needing to be a great mother. People can sometimes make it look like it’s the most “natural” thing in our way of life to be a mother – but that’s a skill you have to learn. It’s not something that just comes naturally to every woman when they have children. Yes, women have motherly instincts but it’s not something you can fully rely on when it comes to raising a human baby. We should stop putting mothers on a certain pedestal that they have to live up to. Give them space and allow them to make mistakes that they can learn from.

Alongside all the stress, it’s an added concern when a mother raising a child just barely get’s any sleep. Every baby has a unique pattern of sleep. Some babies are sound sleepers, while others wake up wanting to be breastfed in the middle of the night. Sometimes maybe the baby is uncomfortable or just cranky. Whatever it is, mothers will always have to wake up to tend to the baby. Lack of sleep affects a lot of things in a person’s life. For instance, you would lose confidence, be very tired all the time and you could also build quite a temper.
